Hello, I'm Lindsay Parker here at Licorice Pizza with your LP TV new music guide for April 18th. This week, Tund Adimpe, who is known best as the co-founder and co- vocalist of one of America's most interesting art rock bands of literally the past quarter century, TV on the radio, is releasing incredibly actually his first solo album and it's the six years in the making album, The Black Bolts. Julian Baker is back with Send a Prayer My Way. This is a collaborative country record with Torres. So now basically we got a Lucy record, we got a Julian record, we just need a new Phoebe Bridger solo album and the trifecta of Boy Genius will be complete. Another great Americana collab that's out this week is What Did the Blackbird Say to the Crow. This is an album of North Carolina Fiddle and Banjo Music by Rian Giddens in collaboration with her former Carolina Chocolate Drops bandmate Justin Robinson. And Blues Badass Zezy Ward is also back with her third album. It's called Liberation.
It's out on the iconic legendary Sunrecords label. And finally, since we're talking about American Treasures this week, this week brings us the 28th studio album by Pacific Northwest Heroes Melvin's. It's called Thunderball, it's actually the third album built as being by Melvin's 1983. That means that this features the band's classic early lineup with Mike Dillard on drums. So come on by Licorice Pizza for these great records and more for all your music needs basically. And I will see you here soon.
