Shipping & Returns

Everything ships from our Studio City, California shop. We pack records the same way we pack our own collections: stiffeners, outer sleeves, and cardboard mailers built to survive the postal system. Below: how shipping works, return windows for online and in-store purchases, and how refunds get processed.

Shipping

Every order ships from our Studio City, California shop. We pack records the same way we pack our own collections: stiffeners, outer sleeves, and cardboard mailers built to survive the postal system.

Domestic rates and transit

  • Free standard shipping on US orders over $75.
  • Standard shipping is 3 to 5 business days via USPS Ground Advantage or UPS Ground.
  • Expedited and Priority options are available at checkout.
  • Orders ship Monday through Friday, excluding US holidays. Most orders go out within 1 to 2 business days of being placed.

In-store pickup

Select In-Store Pickup at checkout and your order will be ready within 2 hours during store hours, free of charge. We’ll email you when it’s ready and hold pickups for 14 days.

International

We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping is on the roadmap for a future update.

Tracking

You’ll receive a shipment confirmation email with tracking as soon as your label is generated. Tracking sometimes takes a few hours to populate after the email lands.

Lost or damaged packages

If your order arrives damaged, or tracking shows it as delivered but you can’t find it, email info@licoricepizzarecords.com within 7 days. Photos help us file claims and get a replacement out fast.

Returns & Refunds

Licorice Pizza Return Policy — Online Purchases Only

What is your return policy for online purchases on LicoricePizzaRecords.com?

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. If you have cancelled your order or your order was cancelled by our distributor, please allow 14 business days to pass before your refund has initiated as we work with you or our distributor to figure out why your order was cancelled.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

What is the return policy for items purchased at Licorice Pizza?

How long do I have to return something?

If you want to return something you bought, just bring it back to Licorice Pizza within 30 days of purchase. We will need the original sales receipt or your phone number to your account to process any returns. In order for items to be returned, they must be in the same condition as they were sold.

Can I get a cash or credit card refund?

Like most stores, we don’t give cash or credit card refunds, but we will exchange your item for something you will like better. If you don’t want to pick and exchange yet, we can issue you a credit slip.

What if I buy something I don’t like?

If it’s NEW and UNOPENED, or ANY PRE-OWNED ITEM, we will exchange it for something different, or give you store credit for the amount of your purchase — as long as it is in the same condition as it was sold.

What if I buy something and it does not work?

We inspect all items before we put them out for sale, but if you buy something defective that doesn’t work, we will first inspect it ourselves to verify it’s defective. If it is in fact defective, we can exchange it for another copy of the same item or refund you your money.

What if I bought a new item and opened it?

Once an item is opened, it is considered “used”; because of this, we cannot give an exchange for the item once it’s opened. As long as it’s still in good condition, we would buy it back from you for half of the used condition price.
