Our Story
Licorice Pizza Records has been part of the Studio City community since 1971. Independent, locally owned, and obsessed with vinyl.
Born in the golden age of vinyl, Licorice Pizza survived every format shift by doing one thing: caring about music more than margins. Kerry Brown slept outside the store waiting for David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” in 1983. Now he owns it.
Same name. Same energy. Same couch to sit on while something spins on the turntable.
