LPTV Music Guide: Friday, March 21st

Hey everybody, this is Lindsay Parker here at Licorice Pizza with your LP TV new music guide for March 21st. First of all, pop music's cutest couple, Selena Gomez and her fiance Benny Blanco, are releasing their first joint album. It is titled I Said I Love You First. And it chronicles their entire love story. A it's actually enough to almost make. But seriously, I am very happy for them. They're very cute together. And it's clear that the couple that makes beautiful music together stays together. Also out this week is Japanese Breakfast led by crying and HMart author Michelle Zoner. The band is back with the very anticipated for melancholy, brunettes, and sad women. It is a follow-up to the Grammy nominated 2021 breakthrough album, Jubilee, and it is said to be a return to the band's darker sound, as you know, as the title indicates.

Another legendary alt rock band, My Morning Jacket, returns this week with their 10th album. It's simply titled is and it is produced by Brendan O'Brien, known for working with Pearl Jam and Stone Tumble Pilots. So, you know this one is going to rock when Jim James Company inevitably hit the festival circuit this year. And speaking of rocking, this week also brings us new records from Metal Veterans Cradle filled with the most metal titled record of the week, The Screaming of the Valkyries. I love that title. And also one of my favorite bands of the 2000's Garage Rock Explosion, Britain's the Horrors are back with Nightlight. So come on by. Looks pizza for all your rock needs, all your music needs in general. See you here soon.
