LPTV Music Guide: Friday February 28th

hey everybody this is Lindsay Parker here at Licor pizza with your LP TV new music guide for February 28th attention all Indie SLE kids I know it's 20125 but I have the Perfect soundtrack for you that will make you feel like you're partying like it's 2008 and that is a new album by The Ting Tings the album home is the Manchester Indie Duo's first album since 2018 apparently however they have softened their dance Punk sound over the years drawing from influences more like Fleetwood Matt Toto Steely Dan and Christopher Cross so maybe this one won't have you partying like it's 2008 but it is an exciting return from the tin ting if you really want to get the dance party started however I recommend Alter Ego by the singularly named Lisa from the Superstar K-pop girl group black pink the rapper singer's debut solo album features guest spots from Rosalia DOA cap production from Max Martin and Ry tedar as well so it is understandable that this is one of the most anticipated pop albums of 2025 this week also brings us a veritable Bounty of Indi music on the more chill side like Sinister grip that is from Animal Collective co-founder panda bear it's his first solo album in 5 years off with her head which is the latest from chantu Banks and we also have springboard the early unrecorded songs from New Zealand cult van the chills that compilation is the passion project and sadly the artistic farewell from late chills founder Martin Phillips who before his July 2024 death had been digging through his archives and reimagining his old songs and it will give you chills indeed so to speak so come on by licorice pizza for new music and for all your music needs see you soon
