MUSIC NEWS #newmusic #music

hey everybody I'm Lindsay Parker here at liquor pizza for lptv and I'm here with all the week's music news that you can use I'm just going to address the elephant in the room right away obviously everybody's talking about this lawsuit accusing Jay-Z along with Shan Diddy kums obviously we already know that Diddy is facing several lawsuits but Jay-Z is steadfastly denying these allegations specifically against him he's called them idiotic and a Shameless publicity stunt in a very lengthy statement that he posted online so obviously the story is still developing but what was surprising to me was just one day after this bombshell news dropped Jay-Z and his wife appeared as a unified front with Blue Ivy and Beyonce's mother Tina nolles in other news obviously lighter news it was the end of an era or eras shall I say for Taylor Swift this week she played her 149th and the final show of her record-breaking erors Tour Sunday in Vancouver Canada and to celebrate this momentous occasion she reportedly gave her crew members a total of let me make sure I get this right $197 million in bonuses meanwhile another touring news nickl mccrain who's been iron maiden's drummer for the past 42 years announced his well-earned retirement from torine at age 72 and he played his final show with Maiden this past Saturday in Brazil Jesse Malin you may have seen the news last year that he suffered a rare spinal stroke last May that left him paralyzed below the waist triumphantly returned to the stage this week at a benefit show at New York's Beacon Theater this was an All-Star event that featured all of his famous friends rallying around him like Alejandro es cavedo Ricky Lee Jones St VanZant that was great news but sadly the future of powerp hero Matthew swe who suffered a stroke himself in October this year while on tour Still Remains uncertain he just posted a very heartbreaking update on his GoFundMe page in which he said he may never play guitar again but he did vow to try and make music and art again despite what's happened to him and we here at licorice pizza to wish both him and Jesse the best in their continuing recoveries and finally I'm going to leave you with some much needed feel-good news but it's also very heartstring tugging content I'm talking about the new video from Coldplay all my love it was directed by the legendary Spike Jones and stars the even more legendary Dick Van djk National international treasure Dick Van djk who incredibly turns 99 years old next week and in the video he talks about his mortality and how he doesn't know how much time he has left and then he sings and dances Barefoot like there is no tomorrow basically living his best life inspiring us all this video is how the internet should be used so thank you cplay thank you Dick Van djk thanks Internet thanks everybody for watching this I'm lindsy Parker for lptv
