Boy Harsher singer Jae Matthews delivers an impressive reinterpretation of Buzz Kull's cult classic "Man On The Beat". Made for late-night drives and neon-lit highways, Matthews' version transforms the track into a darkly hypnotic pulse-pounder full of tension and atmosphere, carried by her haunting vocals. The song, on Heartworm Press' limited edition Baby Blue vinyl 12", reinterprets the underground favorite with a cool, more cinematic edge. On the B-side, L.A. duo Spike Hellis deliver an extended remix that builds the track into a dancefloor-ready sonic storm of ecstatic synths and rhythms. Known as the singer of the dark electronic project Boy Harsher, Matthews shows a different side here: she captures the nocturnal flair of the original, while at the same time giving the song her unmistakable touch.
