Double Magic, the fourth full-length album from Sunbeam Sound Machine, sees multi- instrumentalist and producer Nick Sowersby expand on his signature sonic palette. Retaining the sparkling guitars and introspective lyrics from previous releases, the songs of Double Magic are built upon a bedrock of four-to-the-floor rhythm drumming and percussion. From 2014's debut full-length Wonderer, through 2019's Goodness Gracious to 2022's Possum, Sunbeam Sound Machine has amassed over 50 million streams from a dedicated global fanbase. Wonderer's American release on the Echo Drug Recordings label helped establish a particularly strong following in the USA, which led to a successful headline tour in April 2025, with sold out shows on both coasts. Double Magic is by far the most energetic and concert-ready record of Sowersby's career, with more Australian and international dates to come.
