Mr. Scrapper’s Blues is Scrapper Blackwell’s second album, and was originally released on Bluesville Records in 1962. This stripped down album features only Blackwell on vocals, guitar, and piano. Producer Arthur Rosenbaum says “[Blackwell’s] blues are less direct and accessible but are more subtle and personal; their meaning has grown more profound over the years.” This album has been pressed on 180-gram vinyl at QRP in partnership with Acoustic Sounds, and is housed in a replica tip-on jacket.
