Wilson, Ann / Tripsitter - Consecrated Ground [CD], Ann Wilson / Tripsitter, CD

Ann Wilson - the singular voice of legendary rock band, Heart - returns with her band Tripsitter on ""Consecrated Ground,"" a nine-track statement that proves one of rock's most commanding vocalists has lost none of her fire. Far from a victory lap, the record is a forward-charging body of work, moving from the defiant kiss-off of opener ""I Will Not Be Coming Back"" through the raw nerve of ""Bone Pain,"" the swagger of ""Hot Foot,"" and the searching turns of ""Dissonance,"" ""Renaissance,"" and closer ""Reverse Chaos."" Wilson and Tripsitter fuse muscular guitars, restless dynamics, and lyrics that refuse to flinch.
