PRE-ORDER: Wayfarer - RIDERS OF THE SETTING SUN [CD], Wayfarer, CD

The new album is both an end and a beginning for Colorado’s WAYFARER - at once an actualization of the band’s soul, and a bold new step beyond the confines of genre. Working for the first time with visionary producer Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe), alongside a recording and mixing team of James Barone (Beach House) and Iver Sandoy (Enslaved) WAYFARER breathes life into a new realm of Western music. Taking the sound and foundations the band has established as purely their own over the last decade, RIDERS OF THE SETTING SUN weaves in threads of post-punk, American folk, and rock and roll to produce a new world of music that is dark, daring, and uniquely WAYFARER.

After several albums praised for providing a fresh and genuine approach in the realms of extreme metal, RIDERS sees the band taking a step beyond, and features guest collaborations from Colorado music legends such as David Eugene Edwards, Midwife, Munly Munly & Rebecca Vera, and Kelly Schilling. The first WAYFARER release with the backing of Vesperian and long time industry figure Philipp Schulte, the album is adorned with the majestic artwork of late cinema legend Tony Stella in one of his final collaborations.

A new era begins in Fall 2026. Enter New Americana. Enter RIDERS OF THE SETTING SUN.
