PRE-ORDER: Trish Toledo - Para Que B/W Todo Puede Cambiar [7" Vinyl], Trish Toledo, Vinyl, 7" Vinyl

For discerning fans of the ever-growing West Coast Souldies scene, Trish Toledo is practically a household name. Her iconic, sultry voice and incredible live show have garnered her an army of loyal fans, leaving an indelible impression on a whole generation of up and coming singers and artists. Making her Penrose debut, Trish Toledo, in collaboration with producer Anthony Masino, serves up two solemnly soulful sides, sung en espanol. "¿Para que?," a gorgeously floaty, 6/8 ballad whose sparse instrumentation and thoughtful arrangement leaves ample space for Trish to deliver a vocal performance that exudes the kind of earnest vulnerability that sends daggers into the hearts of the listener. On the flipside is "Todo puede cambiar," a lovely, mid-tempo dancer that is every bit as soulful as the A-side but delivered with a whimsical, feel-good swing to the phrasing reminiscent of early Barbara Lewis.
