Cellist Trey Lee and Musicus Soloists Hong Kong present Histoires Croisees: France - Hong Kong, a programme exploring the historic ties between France and Hong Kong through music. The album traces three narratives: botanical discovery, charity, and medical science, pairing French repertoire by Couperin, Ravel and Onslow with Cantonese works by Chan Man-tat and Abing. New arrangements by Alfred Wong and Tam Yat-sing blend Western strings with traditional Chinese instruments including pipa, Zheng and dizi. The album closes with Wong's Tango in Temple Street V, and Chan Man-tat's festive Joyous Celebrations, a portrait of Hong Kong today.
