PRE-ORDER: SCOOTERS - Musume Gokoro Ha Scooters (Bonus Track) [LP], SCOOTERS, Vinyl

A cornerstone of Japan's mod scene, this landmark 1982 debut album returns on vinyl. Fusing the irresistible spirit of 1960s girl-group soul with a distinctly Japanese sensibility, the record captured the essence of the "Tokyo Motown Sound" through it's infectious melodies, stylish production, and unforgettable visual aesthetic. More than four decades after it's original release, it continues to be rediscovered by new generations of listeners, while the song "Tokyo Disco Night" gained renewed attention through Kyoko Koizumi's celebrated cover in the 1990s. Inspired by legendary groups such as The Ronettes and The Supremes, the group made an extraordinary impact despite a career that initially lasted only around two years in the early 1980s.
