PRE-ORDER: Mark Menzies - Cameron-Wolfe: Breathless / Unsilence [CD], Mark Menzies, CD

This album presents the evocative contemporary sound world of American composer Richard Cameron-Wolfe. At the heart of the album is the "Breathless" Cantata, a profound seven-movement cycle for vocalists and guitars that weaves together ancient Sufi, Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, Jewish, and Hindu mystical texts to explore the essential unity of spiritual thought. Alongside this immersive vocal centerpiece, a collection of deeply personal solo and chamber works for strings and piano-ranging from the joyful defiance of Lilith to the light-regulating tribute of Iris - scuro/chiaro-unfolds with vivid emotional intensity. Delivered with striking conviction by a premier lineup of vocalists and instrumentalists, the album offers a captivating lens into a world of transcendence, memory, and un-silenced devotion.
