PRE-ORDER: Flevans - This Doesn't Seem Fair [LP], Flevans, Vinyl

With over 20 years in the game, Flevans shows no signs of slowing down - his new album 'This Doesn't Seem Fair' is the most unashamedly high-energy record he's ever recorded. Having dabbled in multi-genre releases for years, this new LP throws it's hat firmly onto the dance-floor and leaves it there, delivering 11 sonic masterpieces that are all deeply and authentically rooted in house, disco, and electronica. And yet every track remains true to the Flevans sound, incorporating live instrumentation, obscure soulful vocal samples, and unique song-based arrangements, to create a sound instantly familiar and yet totally unique.'This Doesn't Seem Fair' was written during an incredibly difficult and turbulent time in Flevans' life - and whereas many producers would have allowed those experiences to influence their sound in a darker way, here the opposite is true - Flevans used his time in the studio to escape life's challenges and create something uplifting, positive and optimistic for the future. From the soulful, vocal sample driven house of singles "Never Let You Go" and "Searching For" to the dazzling electronica of "Another Day Goes By" and "Fade", the album never let's go of it's dizzying pace. From opener "Back Home", with it's driving synths and pop-sensibility, via the jazz-infused "Like Something Else", right through to the uplifting warmth of "Soulseeker", 'It Doesn't Seem Fair' takes you on a sonic journey without ever taking it's feet off the dance-floor.
