PRE-ORDER: Creative Power - Special Love / Step Into My World [LP], Creative Power, Vinyl

Founded in Los Angeles by visionary Ernie Benzor alongside acclaimed producer Arthur Brown of the band KIDDO, Creative Power embodied the sophisticated sound of mid-1980s independent R&B. Originally recorded in 1987, "Special Love" is an irresistible blend of Modern Soul, Boogie, and dancefloor-ready grooves. "Special Love" opens with an unmistakable drum machine rhythm before giving way to shimmering synthesizers, rich harmonies, and Stacy Collins' commanding vocal performance. Effortlessly balancing dancefloor energy with melodic elegance, this mid-tempo dancer stands as a shining example of independent '80s Modern Soul at it's finest. On the flip side, "Step Into My World" emerges as a lush Modern Soul stirrer, where elegant melodies, rich instrumentation, and expressive vocals come together to create the quintessential '80s soundtrack for late-night drives and slow dances alike.Lovingly remastered from the original source material and pressed as a limited-edition 7-inch 45 RPM single, these recordings finally receive the presentation they have always deserved, adding another essential title to the canon of sought-after Los Angeles Modern Soul releases.
