Recorded mainly at Barbeau's Auburn home studio, it darts from clipped new wave and jazzy piano balladry to Cocteau Twins-tinted psychedelia and deep P-Funk. ""World Calls Love"" grew from a decades-old cassette fragment found while clearing Barbeau's childhood Sacramento house, while ""All Thru The Night"" was written during his final days there.
